The 38th Bob Cleverley Class C All-Star Football Game will be played Saturday on Montana Tech’s Bob Green Field.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. for the 32nd playing of the game in the Mining City.
This year, the Red Team will be made up of all-stars from the Class C’s Northern and Eastern Divisions. The Blue Team is full of all-stars from the Southern and Western Divisions. (Red roster; Blue roster)
Players reported on Tuesday and have been practicing multiple times each day at Montana Tech.
Nathan Schraeder, Trae Thilmony and Erik Strom will represent reigning state champion Thompson Falls on the Blue Team. They will play alongside runner-up Flint Creek players Avery Metesh and Cooper Bradshaw.
Park City and Fort Benton were the other final four teams from last fall. Park City player Jacob Gauthier will compete for the Blue Team. Fort Benton stars Brock Hanford, Colter Ball and Timothy Lane will play for the Red Team.
Brock Berryhill of Scobey will serve as head coach of the Red Team. He will be assisted by Mike Jones of Chinook, Brian Manning of Culbertson, Derek Gackle of Fairview, Eric Dirk of Cascade and Clyde E. Ross of Fort Benton.
Mark Rathbun of Park City is the head coach of the Blue Team. His assistants are Jason Ostler of Flint Creek, Carson Oakland of Mission, Jered Koskela of Thompson Falls and George Warburton of Joliet.
The game is named after the late Bob Cleverley, a long-time Ennis coach who founded the classic. It will be broadcast live on KBOW (550 AM, 101.5 FM, kbow550.net or on the KBOW app).
