Thatcher’s 21 leads Bears to Hi-Line victory

HAVRE — Butte Central graduate Kloie Thatcher scored 21 points Friday night to lead the Rocky Mountain College women’s basketball team to a 56-49 Frontier Conference win over MSU-Northern Friday night at the Armory Gymnasium. (Stats)

Thatcher hit four 3-pointers as Rocky snapped a two-game skid. She also handed out three assists and grabbed three rebounds.

Markaela Francis added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Bears, who led 27-19 at halftime and 44-31 after three quarters.

Sydney Hovde scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Northern. Kenya Lorton came off the bench to score 11 points.

The Bears head to Great Falls Saturday to take on the University of Providence.

The banged-up Skylights will try to stop an eight-game losing streak when they play host to Montana Western.
