Thatcher wins 400 hurdles at Cat-Griz Dual

Dodge, McGree jump to second

MISSOULA — Butte Central graduate Cutter Thatcher picked up his first outdoor win as a Montana Grizzly Saturday.

The freshman won the 400-meter hurdles at the Cat-Griz Dual at Dornblaser Field. He finished the race in 55.06 seconds. Griz teammate Colton Hess placed second at 55.19. (Results)

Thatcher also ran a leg of Montana’s second-place 400-meter relay team.

Butte High graduate Abby Dodge placed second in the high jump for Montana. Dodge tied teammate Morgan Radtke by clearing 5 feet, 7 inches, but Radtke won on jumps.

Butte Central graduate Lindsay McGree placed second in the long jump. She busted off a jump of 17 feet, 8 ¾ inches. Montana’s Ailsa Gilbert won with a leap of 18-8 ½. McGree also ran to eighth place in the 200 meters.

MSU swept the team titles. The Bobcat men outscored the Grizzlies 90-72. The Bobcat women topped Montana 85.50-83.50. 1 comment
