CALDWELL, Idaho — Butte Central graduate Kloie Thatcher scored a season-high 21 points Friday night, and Rocky Mountain College beat the College of Idaho 66-57 at the J.A. Albertson Center. (Stats)
The non-conference game was part of the College of Idaho Tournament.
Thatcher, a junior guard, hit on 4 of 6 shots from 3-point land in the victory. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists. N’Dea Flye tossed in 18 points in the win, and Shauna Bribiescas scored 15 for the Battlin’ Bears (4-2), who led 31-26 at halftime.
Lexi Mitchell’s 11 points and 10 rebounds paced the College of Idaho (5-3). Kaylee Krusemark and Sienna Riggle each scored 10.
Thatcher’s previous high this season was 16 points. She scored that Nov. 14 in a 75-51 win at Walla Walla University. Thatcher also tossed in 16 points in a 60-56 exhibition loss to the University of Montana Nov. 5 in Missoula.
The Bears will close the tournament with a 3 p.m. game Saturday against Eastern Oregon.
Rocky opens Frontier Conference play Thursday against the University of Providence in Great Falls. The Bears play host to Montana Tech next Saturday.
