Tech’s Sean Ramsbacher leads at Argo Invitational

GREAT FALLS — Montana Tech junior Sean Ramsbacher will take a four-shot lead into Tuesday’s final round of the Argo Invitational golf tournament. (Men’s results; Women’s results)

The Missoula Sentinel product followed a 69 with a 68 Monday on the par-71 Eagle Falls Golf Course. At 5-under-par 137, Ramsbacher leads second-place Benjamin Kaul of the University of Providence by four shots.

Carlos Davila of Lewis-Clark State sits in third at 142.

Rocky Mountain College leads the men’s team race. The Battlin’ Bears shot a 299 and a 289 for a 588. Lewis-Clark State is second at 590, followed by the Orediggers at 600. Tech shot 303 and 297.

Carroll College sits in fourth at 629. Dickinson State and MSU-Norther follow at 652 and 713.

Bridger Martin of Tech is tied for 11th place at 151, while Orediggers Matt Hobbs and Trey Hoagland are tied for 14th at 153.

Rocky leads the way on the women’s side, too. The Bears hit 325 to take a six-shot lead over Lewis-Clark State. Carroll is third at 357, followed by Tech at 362, Dickinson State at 375 and MSU-Northern at 436.

Hailey Derrickson of Rocky leads the team standings at 78. Alexandra Schmidt of Lewis-Clark State and Morgan O’Neil of Rocky are tied for second at 79.

Emily Garden leads Montana Tech. She is tied for 12th at 86. That is one shot better than teammate Skyler Martin. Tanna Campbell hit 88, and Lynzee Dexter shot 90.
