YANKTON, S.D. — Montana Tech has an All-American runner.
Oredigger Becca Richtman earned that honor Friday by placing sixth in the 3,000-meter race at the NAIA National Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The freshman from Elburn, Illinois finished the race in 10 minutes, 9.39 seconds. Emma Wilson of Huntington College won the race in 9:58.89, just ahead of Milligan’s Avery DeWolf.
Reghan Worley of Carroll College finished just behind Richtman, taking seventh in 10:18.89.
By finishing in the top eight, Richtman earns All-American honors from the NAIA and is the first in school history to do so.
