Tech’s Paul Engstrom named Scholar-Athlete

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Paul Engstrom closed out his career at Montana Tech by earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Engstrom a post player from Medicine Lake, took home the honor for the second time. Only 60 players nationwide were named a Scholar-Athlete. Complete list

In order to be nominated for the honor by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Earlier, Montana Tech women’s basketball players Martha Dembek, Rachel Farris, Shayla Mack and Callee Remsen were named Scholar-Athletes.
