WHITEFISH — Montana Tech seniors Sindou Diallo and Taylor England were named to the Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team.
The league announced its preseason teams today along with its preseason coaches’ polls.
Emilee Maldonado of the University of Providence and Jovan Sljivancanin of Carroll College were named Preseason Players of the Year.
The women’s team includes Western junior Brynley Fitzgerald.
Carroll College’s men were picked to win the conference by the coaches. The Saints took home five of the six first-place votes, and coaches could not vote for their own team. Montana Tech took second in the poll despite not getting a first-place vote.
Providence was picked third, followed by MSU-Northern, Western and Rocky Mountain College.
Carroll took in five first-place votes to top the women’s poll. Montana Western received one first-place vote and finished second. Providence is third, followed by Northern, Rocky and Tech.
Votes were five points for first, four points for second, three points for third, two points for fourth and one point for fifth.
