Montana Tech’s Makenzie Bauck took home the Frontier Conference Setter of the Week Award, the league announced today.
Kennadie Clute of Lewis-Clark State received the Attacker of the Week, while Madeleine Fey of Carroll College received the Defender of the Week honor.
Bauck is a 5-foot-7 junior setter from Florence. No. 21 Montana Tech swept a road match at MSU-Northern 3-0, and Bauck averaged 12.67 assists and five digs per set.
Also nominated for the award were Tori Bertsch of Rocky Mountain College, Dani Norling of the University of Great Falls, Jonni Dorr of Carroll College, Callie Hanson of Montana Western, Emily Russell of MSU-Northern and Robyn Schirmer of Lewis-Clark State.
Clute is a 6-1 junior outside hitter from Spokane, Washington. Lewis-Clark split their weekend matches, losing to (RV) Carroll College 1-3 and winning at home 3-1 over (RV) University of Great Falls. Clute averaged 4.25 kills with a .306 attack percentage. She also averaged 3.13 digs per set.
Also nominated were Karina Mickelson of Montana Tech, Devon Bogart of the University of Great Falls, Paige Montgomery of Carroll College, Korrie Stephenson of Montana State-Northern, Mariah Stiffarm of Rocky Mountain College and Bailey Wilson of Montana Western.
Fey is a 5–8 senior defensive specialist from Portland, Oregon. Carroll went 2-0 for the weekend beating Lewis-Clark State at home 3-1 and winning at MSU-Northern 3-0. Fey averaged 4.86 digs per set. She recorded 93 percent service percentage and 100 percent passing percentage.
