Tech’s Barville, Richtman take home Frontier honors

WHITEFISH — Montana Tech’s Ian Barvville and Becca Rickman took home Frontier Conference Athlete of the Week Honors, the conference announced today.

Barville was named was named Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Rickman took home the Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week accolades.

Barville is a sophomore from Spokane Valley, Washington. At the Stacy Dragila Open hosted by Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho, he finished sixth out of 32 entrants in the men’s 800-meter with a time of 1:57.67. He was the top NAIA runner in the event.

Richtman is a senior from Ellburn, Illinois. At the Stacy Dragila Open, she finished first out of 31 entrants in the women’s mile with an NAIA A-standard time of 4:54.89. Her winning time is the fastest in the NAIA this year by over six-seconds.
