Tech women roll to 3-1

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Victoria Turner and Kelsey DeWit combined for 29 points Wednesday night as Montana Tech’s women’s basketball team improved to 3-1 with a 66-58 win over The Evergreen State College.


Turner scored 15 points, while DeWit netted 14. Also for Tech, Mandy Machinal scored nine points, Kabri Emerson tossed in eight, and Hattie Thatcher and Martha Dembek scored six.

The Orediggers also got five points form Shayla Mack and three from Sophia Baetz.

Jessica Demmon and Sadee Jones each scored 14 to pace Evergreen.

The Oredigger stay in the Pacific Northwest to take on Seattle Pacific and Central Washington Friday and Saturday in Seattle.
