Montana Tech made the most of its homecoming Saturday night.
Mesa Williams tossed in 20 points to lead the way, as the Montana Tech women’s basketball team stopped a six game losing streak with a 72-68 upset win over Lewis-Clark State College. (Stats)
Williams was one of three Orediggers in double figures as Tech improved to 3-13 in conference and 13-14 overall. Tjaden Williams scored 14 points, while Dani Urick netted 12.
Hailey Crawford posted a triple-eight, scoring eight points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out eight assists.
The Orediggers, who outscored the Warriors 21-12 in the third quarter to overcome a 34-28 halftime deficit, also got six points apiece from Mollie Peoples, Kaylee Zard and Celestina Faletoi. Zard pulled down seven rebounds.
Cali Moscip and Peyton Souvenir each scored 14 points to lead the Warriors, who fell to 9-7 and 19-8. Jossilyn Blackman scored 13, and Hannah Burland tossed in 11.
The Orediggers are back at home Thursday to take on Carroll College.
