LEWISTON, Idaho —Kelsey DeWit poured in 19 points to lead four Orediggers in double figures tonight as Montana Tech’s women’s basketball team opened the Frontier Conference season with a 60-55 win at Lewis-Clark State.
DeWit also pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots in the win.
Dannii Devenny posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Laini Kalumbi scored 12 and Mandy Machinal scored 11.
Also, Erika Jenkins scored three, Brooke Pokorny netted two and Shaye Murphy tossed in one. Lisa Laslovich grabbed eight rebounds in the win. Brynne Kambich and Ivana Lacmanovic also played for Tech.
Annie Kane scored 24 to pace the defending Frontier champion Warriors, who fell to 3-12 overall. Tanis Fuller scored 19.
The Orediggers (6-4 overall) head to Las Vegas for a tournament Dec. 27-29 before jumping back into Frontier play Jan. 3 at home against Montana Western.
