Montana Tech head volleyball coach Brian Solomon announced the signing of a state champion prep volleyball player from Montana. Kelly Harbach from Gardner signed a NAIA letter of intent to attend Montana Tech in the fall.
The Class C defensive specialist/libero helped lead her team to two state championships and a 62-0 record the last two seasons. Gardner also finished third at state when Harbach was a freshman. Harbach was selected All-Conference and All-State all four years of high school.
“Kelly plays with a very good feel for the game,” Solomon said. “We are excited to add someone from Montana who has been part of two undefeated championship seasons.”
The two-sport athlete also performed well on the basketball court. She earned second team All-Conference her junior and senior years.
The daughter of Brad and Carmen, Harbach plans on pursing a degree in Business Management.
Harbach is the only signee this offseason for the Orediggers. Solomon returns 15 from last year’s squad including All-Conference selections Kimmy Kavran and Korey Krumm and Haley Druyvestein who was on the All-Freshman team.
