The Montana Tech volleyball team will open the Frontier Conference Tournament against Montana Western at 7 p.m. Friday at the Montana Tech HPER Complex.
At 8-4 in conference and 16-14 overall, the Orediggers are the No. 3 seed in the tournament. Western (2-10, 6-16) is the No. 6 team. The Orediggers swept the Bulldogs in the regular season, winning each match in three sets.
Lewis Clark State will take on Carroll Collage at 2 p.m., while the University of Providence will battle MSU-Northern at 5.
Top-seeded Rocky Mountain College earned a bye. The Battlin’ Bears will play the lowest remaining seed in Saturday’s 11 a.m. semifinal match. The other two Friday winners will play in the 1 p.m. semifinal match.
The championship match will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday
