Tech spikers drop two in Nebraska

HASTINGS, Neb. — The Montana Tech volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday at their final non-conference tournament of the season.

The No. 20 Orediggers fell in three games to Midland University before falling in five sets to Concordia University (Neb.).

Midland won 26-24, 25-14, 25-15 in the first match. Jordan Danz tallied eight kills to lead the Orediggers in that match.

Tech fell 25-21, 17-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-12 in the finale against Concordia. Sydney Norris notched a team-leading 12 kills in the loss. Danz killed 20. Makenzie Bauck dished up 42 assists, while Angie Pancost led five Orediggers in double figures with 19 digs.

The 12-4 Orediggers open Frontier Conference play Thursday at Rocky Mountain College.
