Montana Tech is now the No. 6-ranked football team in the NAIA.
The Orediggers moved up one spot in the latest NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, which was released today. The move comes two days after the Orediggers, winners of eight straight, beat the College of Idaho 42-21 on the Bob Green Field.
Eastern Oregon moved up two spots to No. 9, while Montana Western jumped up two spots to No. 22 following the Bulldogs’ first home win over Carroll College since 1999.
The top five teams remained unchanged. Marian (Indiana) holds down the No. 1 spot. Baker (Kansas) follows at No. 2, while Reinhart (Georgia) sits at No. 3.
Only the top three teams are undefeated.
Montana Tech, which has the Frontier Conference crown and a berth in the NAIA playoffs wrapped up, closes out the regular season Saturday at Southern Oregon.
In other Frontier games, Eastern Oregon plays at Carroll, the College of Idaho heads to MSU-Northern and Montana Western travels to Rocky Mountain College.
