RAPID CITY, S.D. — Bryan Bock scored 20 points to lead four Montana Tech players in double figures Monday night as the Orediggers knocked off South Dakota Tech 87-82 in a non-conference men’s basketball game. Stats
Travis Peevey came off the bench to score 17 points, while Adam Greger scored 16 and Marcus Payne posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Tech also got nine points from Antonio Snow and Keegan McCarthy.
“We pulled out a tough road win,” Montana Tech coach Patrick O’Herron said. “This was a great team win and we had some great performances from Bock, Peevey, Payne and Greger. They boxed-and-one Snow so the other guys stepped up and took care of business.”
Michael Dietz scored 17 points to lead the Hardrockers, who fell to 6-15.
The Orediggers (12-8) won for the fifth time in six games.
“I was very happy how we played as a team on both ends of the floor,” said O’Herron, whose Orediggers jump back into Frontier Conference action Friday and Saturday against the University of Great Falls and Carroll College at the HPER Complex.
“I hope to get the HPER filled with Tech fans,” O’Herron said.
