Tech invites VanDyke for hoops interview

Just under 11 weeks after the resignation of DeAnn Craft, Montana Tech will bring in its first candidate for an interview for the open position of head women’s basketball coach.

The school announced today that former Carroll College assistant coach Carly VanDyke will be on campus Friday to interview with campus representatives and the women’s basketball team. No public forum has been announced.

VanDyke, a Chester native, is currently serving as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Before that, she spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Carroll College.

At both schools, VanDyke served as the recruiting coordinator. VanDyke holds a bachelor of arts degree in Health Education from Carroll.

VanDyke had a successful hoops career at Carroll College. She was senior during the 2002-03 season.

Craft resigned in protest of the firing of athletic director Charles Bradley on Jan. 18.
