SPOKANE, Wash. — Make it 2 for 2 for Montana Tech and new head coach Brian Solomon.
The Orediggers knocked off Corban College in a five-game thriller Thursday night at the Cascade/Frontier Red Lion Challenge. Tech won 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-10.
Sydney Norris smacked 16 kills to lead three Orediggers in double digits in that category. She also collected 14 digs.
Mikayla Sullivan added 14 kills and four blocks, while Korey Krumm tallied 10 kills and five blocks. Alison Lunde totaled 18 digs.
Friday, Tech plays Eastern Oregon at 10 a.m. before taking on Northwest University (Wash.) at 2 p.m.
Tech will wrap up the tournament Saturday against Evergreen State at noon and Warner Pacific College at 2.
