Tech-Carroll game will have special parking, bus routes

The Montana Tech home opener against rival Carroll College football game tomorrow is expected to draw large crowds, but that’s not unusual. While parking can generally be tough on game days, construction on campus for the Living Learning Center/Student Success Center will make things tighter.

Butte-Silver Bow will have two buses running and the Chamber of Commerce will have one trolley operating. Fans can park at the Maroons Athletic Center or in uptown Butte to catch a ride to campus. Stops will be made near the following locations: Sparky’s Garage, Hotel Finlen, Metals Sports Bar and Grill,

Knights of Columbus and Park 217 and the Vu Villa. Transports start at 5 p.m. with pickups every 10-15 minutes. Transports will run until 30 minutes after the game.

Normal tailgate areas will be open in the Season Ticket Holder Lot and adjacent Tailgate Lot on the west side of the stadium. The tailgate entrance is located at the south west side of the parking lot due to construction. The road way in front of the HPER Complex is a one way only going south to north. To enter the tailgate area, patrons will need to access by way of the tiered parking or around the west side of the HPER Complex. Signage will be posted. The Tailgate Lot is $10 on a first-come basis.

Tailgate lots open at 4:30 p.m. Tailgating is allowed in designated tailgate lots only.

Gates open at 6, and kickoff is slated for 7. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
