BELLEVUE, Neb. — Montana Tech’s volleyball team bounced back from a loss earlier in the day to sweep past St. Francis (Illinois) Friday night at the Bellevue Labor Day Tournament.
The Orediggers out killed St. Francis 49-37, and Tech won 25-15, 25-22, 25-21 to improve to 7-3 on the season. Stats
Jordan Danz and Gena McMillan each killed 12, and Nicole Peacock spiked 11 kills to lead the Oredigger attack. Bailie Cortner added eight kills.
Senior setter McKenzie Bauck kept the Orediggers running smoothly with 32 assists. She also collected seven digs. Freshman libero Sabrina Hopcroft dug 11.
The Orediggers play two more matches Saturday. Tech takes on Peru State (Nebraska) at noon before closing out the tournament against Oklahoma City at 4 p.m.
