Tackle with Butte ties makes Rams roster

Former Montana State offensive lineman Mike Person has made the 53-man roster of the St. Louis Rams.

The Glendive native sticks with the team after starting at least one game at left tackle during the preseason.

Person has strong roots in the Mining City. His late mother, Shelly (Lowney) Person was from Butte, while his father Jim is a former standout player at Montana Tech. Jim Person is the activities director at Dawson County High school.

Sarah Person-Hauser, Mike’s sister, is a former AD at Butte Central.

Mike Person, 26, who is listed as 6-foot-4, 299 pounds on the Rams roster, spent time with San Francisco, Indianapolis and Seattle before catching on with the Rams last year.

He wears No. 75.
