POCATELLO — The Butte Miners saw their winning streak snapped at four games Thursday afternoon.
Sugar Salem rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat the Butte boys 8-7 in the Pocatello tournament. The game was called after six by the tournament time limit. (Stats)
Ethan Cunningham and Eric Hart doubled to lead the Miners nine-hit attack in the loss. Hart, who drove in two runs, also singled, and Egan Lester smoked a pair of singles and knocked in two.
Rylan Richards, Kian O’Neill, Max Demarais and Mike “The Hammer” McGivern also singled for the Miners.
Butte, which is 2-1 on the tournament, will play a seeding game on Friday and a bracket game on Saturday.
