Cole Stewart is making some Butte High history.
The Bulldog senior and soon-to-be Montana Tech Oredigger will be the recipient of the first Butte High Silver B’s Memorial Scholarship.
The Silver B’s football organization was established in 1940 and consists of individuals who earned their varsity football letter while playing for the Butte High School Bulldogs. Each individual is inducted into the organization 25 years after earning their first varsity letter. The Silver B’s is a very unique and special organization.
The organization is very proud of our longevity. This is its 83rd consecutive year of existence.
Stewart is a three-year letterman for coach Arie Grey’s Bulldogs and was a Bulldog team captain during this past season. He played safety and wide receiver for the Bulldogs and earned Academic All-State honors for three consecutive years as well as second-team All-State accolades as a safety during this past season.
“The Butte High Silver B’s are extremely proud to award our initial scholarship to Cole. He is an exceptional young man who will graduate with high honors in June from Butte High School and plans to attend Montana Tech in the fall,” the Silver B’s said in a statement. “We will closely follow Cole’s journey over the next few years and would like to wish Cole all the best that the future has to offer! Our organization looks forward to inducting Cole as a Butte High Silver B in the year 2044.”
