Knights, Bruins set for AA rematch

BILLINGS — Missoula Hellgate and Helena Capital will meet in the championship game of the Class AA State basketball tournament for the second straight season.

Helena Capital used an 18-point performance from Montana Tech signee Carson Dummer to beat Kalispell Glacier 63-44 in the semifinals Friday night at the Rimrock Auto Arena.

Tres Tinkle scored 20 points as Hellgate beat Billings West 57-37 in the other semifinal.

Hellgate beat Capital 58-53 in overtime in last year’s championship game. The Knights are looking for their third title since 2005. The Bruins are seeking their first crown since 1983.
