Montana Tech head golf coach Mike Hitchcock announced today the signing of a local golfer for 2013-14. Butte High’s David Starcevich signed an NAIA letter of intent to attend Montana Tech in the fall and play golf for the Orediggers.
Starcevich, a two-time team captain, earned three varsity letters for the Bulldogs and one All-State award. In 2011, he was the Southwest Montana Junior Golf Tour Overall Champion. He finished third in the SWMJGT in 2012. Starcevich qualified and competed in the Montana State Golf Association Junior Championship at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman last year as well.
“David will be an excellent addition to the Montana Tech men’s team,” Hitchcock said. “David has demonstrated a strong work ethic in golf and studies which will be a great asset to our team. I am looking for David to be a top player for Tech and contribute to our growth in the conference.”
