CALDWELL, Idaho — A six-run rally in the top of the ninth inning was not enough for the Mining City Tommyknockers Wednesday night.
Canyon County scored seven runs in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth, and the Spuds held on for a 14-10 Expedition League victory over the Tommyknockers at Wolfe Field. (Boxscore)
Joey Grabanski, Zach Tallerman and Danny Burns homered to lead the Spuds, who evened the three-game series at a game apiece. Cam Grant went 3 for 4 with two doubles.
Starter Brendan Thome went five innings, giving up two unearned runs in the win.
