MISSOULA — Missoula Sentinel handed Butte High a 3-0 Western AA volleyball loss Tuesday night at the Sentinel gym.
The Spartans, who are ranked No. 4 in the Class AA coaches power poll, won 25-14, 25-17, 25-20 to had the Bulldogs their third straight loss. (Butte High stats)
As a team, the Spartans got 14 points from aces in the victory, with Kodi Fraser leading the way with six. Quincy Frohlich spiked 11 kills for Sentinel, while Paige Savoyer served up 22 assists. Raia Chase collected 20 digs, and Alexis Eggert posted two stuff blocks.
Ashley Olson spiked eight kills to lead Butte High’s attack at the net. The Bulldogs go five kills from Teagan Kennis and four apiece from Brooke McGrath and Mollee Conlan.
Katie Keller set 15 assists for Butte High, and McGrath and Jordyn Bolton each registered 13 digs.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday when they host the AA East-West Crossover Tournament at Butte High and East Middle School.
