Southwestern A: Anaconda boys move on

The third time was the charm for the Copperheads today at the Maroon Activities Center.

Jackson Wagner poured in a game-high 18 points to lead the Anaconda boys’ basketball team to a 42-39 victory over Hamilton in the first round of the Southwestern A Divisional boys’ basketball tournament.

Jade Green scored eight points for Anaconda (3-14), which got four points from Geoff Dierenfeldt and Cory Stanberry.

Josh Heath scored 14 to pace the Broncs (6-13), who head to loser-out play.

Hamilton beat the Copperheads twice during the regular season.
