A benefit softball tournament will be held Sept. 15-16 at Stodden Park in Butte to benefit the Killoy family.
Amber Killoy and her 1-year-old twin girls were in a car accident on July 16. The girls came away without injury, but Amber wasn’t so lucky. She broke her right femur and shattered her left ankle. She also suffered a broken pelvis bone and four broken ribs.
Amber is recovering after a total of 14 hours of surgery and a week in the intensive care unit. Because of the injuries, however, Amber and her husband, Brian, have been unable to work. That’s where the softball tournament comes into play.
The tournament will help the Killoy family pay off its medical expenses. Saturday night of the tournament an auction and dinner will be held at The Butte Depot.
The entry for the softball tourney is $200 per team, and that will include lunch Saturday and Sunday and drink tickets at The Butte Depot.
Donations may also be sent to the Butte Community FCU, 2901 Grand Ave., Butte, MT, 59701 C/O Killoy Fundraiser. For all other donations and information contact one of the following:
