Skylights top Orediggers in 3

HAVRE – The Skylights were too bright for the Orediggers Thursday night.

MSU-Northern turned back Montana Tech 25-22, 25-18, 25-21 in a Frontier Conference volleyball match on the Hi-Line.

The loss dropped Tech to 1-6 in conference and 11-8 overall with its sixth straight loss. Northern , which improved to 5-1 and 11-9, outhit Tech 45-34.

Sophomore Korey Krumm led the Diggers in kills with 10. Shersteen Cline and Sydney Norris had eight kills each. Norris also had three blocks.
Kimmy Kavran collected 22 digs on the night.
“We executed well in several areas, but couldn’t match their blocking or slow down their offense,” Tech coach Brian Solomon said. “We were in each set but struggled to match their play on the net late in the sets.”
The Orediggers return home next Friday and Saturday to face Great Falls and Carroll College.
