Skylights down Orediggers

HAVRE — The Montana Tech women’s basketball team was ice-cold tonight on the Hi-Line.

The Orediggers hit on just 2 of 16 attempts from behind the 3-point arc, and the Orediggers dropped a 54-41 Frontier Conference decision to MSU-Northern.

Jordan Bruursema scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to place the Skylights, who improved to 117 overall and 3-3 in the Frontier. Nikki Tresch added 11 points in the win.

Kelsey DeWit posted another double-double for the Orediggers. DeWit scored a game-high 18 points go along with 10 rebounds.

Mandy Machinal scored nine points, while Shaye Murphy and Brooke Pokorny each scored seven.

The Orediggers (10-8, 3-3) will play at the University of Great Falls Saturday.
