Six Bulldogs win titles at John Fisher tournament

MISSOULA — Butte High’s fourth-place finish at the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic did not represent all of the Bulldog wrestling success Saturday. (Results)

Six Butte High wrestlers won titles in their divisions at the John Fisher tournament at Missoula Big Sky. Butte High also got three second-place finishes and two third-place performances.

Cole Worley won a title in the final 120-pound division. Trey Hanson (at 145 pounds) and Grady Winston (113) claimed titles in the junior varsity division. Quintin Dennison (182), Tre Antonioli (132) and Aiden Cuchine (170) won crowns in the freshman/sophomore division.

Competing in the final division, Butte’s Kale Schonsberg (152) and Gunner Yelenich (138) placed second. Tyrese LeProwse (103) pounds, finished second in the JV division.

Bryton Hardesty (138) took second in the JV, and fellow Bulldog Mason Armstrong (145) took third in the freshman/sophomore division.

Butte Central freshman James Holmes (126) placed sixth in the final division.

No team scores were kept for the tournament.
