Montana Tech senior Sindou Diallo matched a season high with 35 points Sunday, and the Orediggers completed a weekend sweep of Rocky Mountain College with an 87-69 Frontier Conference victory at the HPER Complex. (Stats)
The Oredigger star hit on 13 of 19 attempts form the field, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range to lead Tech, which led 40-32 at halftime. Diallo also scored 35 points in a Dec. 30 win at Montana Western.
The win lifts Tech to 5-4 overall and 5-2 in conference. Rocky fell to 1-3 in league play and overall.
Bridger Larson added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Orediggers. Christian Jones and Derrius Collins each scored eight, and Drew Huse and Markieth Brown Jr. each tossed in six. Also for Tech, Cody Baumstrack contributed with five points and eight rebounds, Nate Ward scored four, Keeley Bake netted three, and Bridger Deden scored two.
Darius Henderson scored 21 points to lead Rocky. Maxim Stephans scored 13 points to go along with 11 boards, and Tayshawun Bradford scored 10.
Tech will head to Havre Saturday and Sunday to take on MSU-Northern. Next up for Rocky is a trip to Great Falls to take on the University of Providence.
