MISSOULA — Saturday was a rough day for the Butte High boys’ basketball team. Alex Germer made sure of that.

The Montana State signee hit six 3-poitners and scored 28 points to lead Missoula Sentinel to an 86-50 win over the Bulldogs. Germer was a perfect 10 for 10 from the free throw line.

Tony Frohlich-Fair added 16 points for the Spartans, who rolled their record to 7-0.

Sentinel led 22-9 after the first quarter and 47-26 at halftime. The Spartans led 70-33 after three.

“I think we were beat before we took the floor,” Butte High coach Matt Luedtke said. “The kids were definitely intimidated.”
