The Montana Tech women’s basketball team leaves for Salt Lake City on Thursday at 3 p.m. The school’s athletic department is sending the team off at 2:45 p.m. and invites both the campus and Butte communities to the HPER Complex to cheer on the team as they board the bus.
Montana Tech defeated No. 21 Carroll College in Frontier Conference quarterfinal 52-45 Tuesday night. It was the second victory in a row over the Saints at home this season. The win sends the Orediggers to the semifinals against No. 3 Westminster.
The Griffins host the Orediggers Friday in the semifinals of the Frontier Conference playoffs. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Behnken Field House in Salt Lake City. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
