Second half sinks Butte High boys

BILLINGS — Butte High’s boys’ basketball team had a nightmare second half Saturday, falling 71-36 to Billings West in an Eastern AA.

The Golden Bears outscored Butte High 47-16 after halftime, breaking open a game that West led just 24-20 at halftime.

Jared Samuelson scored 15 points to lead the No. 3-ranked Bears. Andrew Campbell tossed in 12.

Dallas Cook paced the Bulldogs with 14. Peter Granger scored 10 points, while Jake Dennehy tossed in seven.

The Bulldogs will close out the season at home against Bozeman and Billings Senior next week before hitting the road for a playoff game.
