Scarlets nip Miners, 9-8

HELENA — Max Murphy hit a two-run double as the Billings Scarlets walked off with a 9-8 win over the Butte Miners Sunday at Heroes Park. (Boxscore)

The game was part of the Keith Sell Tournament.

Spener Berger and Kyler Northrop scored on the hit that came after the Miners took an 8-7 lead in the top of the inning. The double was the second of the game for Murphy. Michael Feralio also doubled in the win.

Kian O’Neill went 4 for 4 with three doubles and three runs scored to lead the Mienrs. Eric Hart hit three singles and drove in two runs, Rye Doherty hit a double and a single, and Evan Starr doubled. Kevin Donaldson added a single for the Miners.

Play on Monday’s final day will be set by seeding.
