Following is a rundown of local sports action on the docket for Saturday, Sept. 29.

Butte High and Butte Central at Mountain West in Missoula, 9:30 a.m.

The Maroons and Bulldogs will get to see some serious competition Saturday in one of the top meets in the region. Conor McGee led the BC boys last week as the Maroons posted a team score for the first time in a decade at the Butte High Invitational.  Nic Raiser and Kendall Alley were the top runners for the Bulldogs.

Great Falls Russell at Butte High, boys 1 p.m., girls 11 a.m.

The Bulldogs will be looking for victories at the victories at the Jeremy Bullock Complex as the Ruslters come to town. Butte’ High’s boys (1-5-1) beat CMR the last time around. Butte High’s girls (0-6-1) are trying to rebound from Thursday’s 1-0 loss at Great Falls High.
