College women’s basketball
Montana Tech at MSU-Northern 5 p.m.

The Orediggers (3-5 conference and overall) open the doubleheader against the Skylights (0-4, 1-7) at the Armory in Havre.

Tech is coming off last week’s home split with Rocky Mountain College. Northern lost two games at Montana Western. The teams play again Sunday.

College men’s basketball

The Orediggers (5-2, 5-4) look for their third straight win when they take on the Lights (2-3, 1-3) in the nightcap.

Tech swept Rocky Mountain last weekend in Butte. The Lights split with Western in Dillon. The teams will play again Sunday.

Prep boys’ basketball
Kalispell Flathead at Butte High, 4 p.m.

Butte High’s Ross J. Richardson Gymnasium will set the scene as the Bulldogs take on the Braves.

The Bulldogs (1-2) are looking to bounce back from Thursday’s 62-42 loss at Kalispell Glacier. The Braves (2-1) are coming off Thursday’s 57-55 home win over Missoula Hellgate, stopping a 25-game winning streak by the Knights.

Joston Cripe scored 20 points, including a the game-winning basket with 1.3 seconds left to lead the Braves.

Butte Central at Corvallis, 4 p.m.
The Maroons jump back into Southwestern A play when they take on the Blue Devils.

BC (1-1, 0-1) picked up its first win of the season Thursday, knocking off Three Forks 49-40 at the MAC. Dougie Peoples scored 18 points, and Bryan Holland tossed in 10 to lead the way.

Corvallis took a 1-3 record into Friday’s game at Florence.

Prep girls’ basketball
Corvallis at Butte Central, 4 p.m.

The Maroons look to go to 3-0 Saturday when they open Southwestern A play against Corvallis.

Central improved to 2-0 with a 51-41 win at Three Forks. Brooke Badovinac scored 11 points, and Sofee Thatcher tossed in 10 points to lead BC.

Prep wrestling
Butte High vs. Kalispell Flathead and Kalispell Glacier

The No. 5-ranked Bulldogs will get some tough matches Saturday at the Butte Civic Center.

Flathead, which is Ranked No. 2 in the Class AA, will take on Butte High at noon. Butte High will close the day with a 4 p.m. battle against the Wolfpack.

Butte Central at Stevensville, 1 p.m.
Central’s three wrestlers will hit the mats for the third time this season when they compete in the event with Columbia Falls, Ronan and host Stevensville.
