Corvallis at Butte Central, 4 p.m.
The Maroons look to build on Thursday’s win over Butte High when they play host to the Blue Devils in the Southwestern A game at the Maroon Activities Center.

The Blue Devils were 0-4 in conference and 1-7 overall heading into Friday’s non-conference game at home against Florence. Kobe Jessop averages 9.6 points per game to lead Corvallis.

Dan McCloskey scored 19 points to pace the Maroons (3-1, 8-1) in the win over Butte High. Luke Heaphy and Dylan Sestrich each scored 10 points.

Prep girls’ basketball
Butte Central at Corvallis, 4 p.m.

The Maroons (2-2, 6-3) hit the road for the Southwestern A game against the Blue Devils (1-3, 4-5).

After a 4-1 start, Corvallis has lost four straight, including Thursday’s 55-42 defeat at Florence.  Isabelle Evans averages a double-double with 13.7 points and 11.4 rebounds per game for the Blue Devils. Calla Haldorson adds 10.9 points to the lineup.

The Maroons are looking to bounce back from Thursday’s loss to Butte High. Kloie Thatcher scored 21 points to lead BC in that 57-51 loss. Fellow senior Megan Michelotti scored 13.

Women’s college basketball
Montana Tech at Rocky Mountain, 5:30 p.m.

The Orediggers (1-4, 11-6) aim to stop a two-game skid as they head to Billings for the Frontier Conference showdown with the Battlin’ Bears.

Tech dropped a 63-55 decision to Carroll College Thursday in Butte. Senior guard Monica Landdeck scored 14 points to lead the Orediggers. Sophomore post Shay Potter posted her third straight double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds despite being limited to less than 16 minutes because of foul trouble.

Rocky saw its four-game winning streak snapped Tuesday with a 58-56 loss Tuesday at Carroll. Brooke Jones, a 5-foot-11 junior from Manhattan, scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Saints in the heartbreaker.

Men’s college basketball
Montana Tech at Rocky Mountain, 5:30 p.m.

The Orediggers (0-4, 8-8) look to bust out of their recent shooting slump and pick up their first Frontier Conference win of the season when they take on the Bears (2-3, 10-6).

Rocky is coming off Tuesday’s 59-54 road win over No. 2 Carroll College. Sophomore Jared Samuelson, a 6-7 transfer from the University of Montana, scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in that win.

Tech, meanwhile, is coming off Thursday’s 56-41 home loss to Carroll. Trent Molesworth, a 6-7 senior, scored 14 points to lead the Oredigger in that loss. Senior guard Chris O’Neill scored 11.
