Montana Tech scrimmage, 1 p.m.

The Orediggers will hold what coach Chuck Morrell calls the biggest scrimmage of the spring at Alumni Coliseum. The coach said spots on the team bus to the Sept. 7 season opener at Eastern Oregon could be on the line in the scrimmage that will see 65 to 70 plays. The Orediggers close the spring with the Green and White Game next Saturday.

Butte High and Butte Central boys at Dahlberg Invitational, 10 a.m.

It’s the best of the best boys’ track athletes in the state at the storied meet Saturday at Bulldog Memorial Stadium. Dalton Daum, who won the 100-meter dash in 10.99 seconds last week in Helena highlights the Bulldogs heading into action. Jake Dennehy is looking to build a 155-foot discus throw that qualified him for state last week. Butte Central distance runner Conor McGee is having a big season for the Maroons. So are long jumper Connor McGree and sprinter Kyle Harrington.

Butte High Girls at Great Falls Invitational, 10 a.m.
The Bulldog girls will also run with the best of the best Saturday in the girls-only meet. Carlie Haeffner (high jump), Erika McLeod (sprinter and long jump) and Rashae Emerson (shot put and discus) hope to continue their strong season in the Electric City. Haeffner, McLeod, Sammy McGree and Hailey Hoagland teamed to win both relay races last week in Helena.

Butte Central girls at Belgrade Invitational, 9:30 a.m.
Mariah Cooney (high jump and javelin) will hope to improve on last week’s solid performance in Missoula as the Maroons compete in Belgrade. Freshman sprinter Whitney McGree has showed promise for BC early in the season.

Butte High vs. Capital and Helena in Bozeman, 9 a.m.

The Bulldogs will meet the Helena schools again this week. The Butte High boys tied Helena High and Helena Capital 4-all in Butte last Friday. The Bulldog girls split, beating Capital and falling to Helena. The score was 5-3 in both matches.

Hamilton at Butte Central, 11 a.m. Stevensville at Butte Central, 3 p.m.
Father Sheehan Park will be the site as the Maroons look to continue to impress on the tennis courts. Butte Central’s boys beat up on Anaconda and Livingston last Saturday. Thursday the BC boys and girls were impressive in matches against the Bozeman junior varsity teams.
