Butte High vs. Helena/Capital/Bozeman in Helena, 10:30 a.m.
The Bulldogs head to Helena firth three-team meet. Butte High is coming off last week’s third-place finish against Billings West. Erika McLeod, Rashae Emerson, Carlie Haeffner, Dalton Daum and Kyle Christie each had strong performances to pace the Bulldogs last time out.
Butte Central at Missoula County Meet, 9 a.m.
The Maroons are in action for the second time this week. Connor McGree, Kyle Harrington, Whitney McGree and Mariah Cooney are looking to build on strong performances at Tuesday’s Smelter City Invite in Anaconda.
Prep Softball
Laurel at Butte Central noon and 4 p.m.
The Maroons are scheduled to play a non-conference twin bill against the traditional Eastern AA power. BC is 2-0 after beating Stevensville 11-1 Tuesday in Stevensville. Freshman pitcher Teresa Piazzola struck out 10 Yellowjackets in that win. Piazzola and Mikayla Boggs both went 3 for 4 and Hannah Stajcar doubled to lead the Maroons, who have now outscored their two opponents 25-2 on the season.
Prep Tennis
Anaconda and Livingston vs. Butte Central 11:30 a.m.
Butte Central’s boys will be looking to build on Thursday’s win at Corvallis when they take on the Copperheads and Rangers in Anaconda. The girls matches will be played at Butte’s Father Sheehan Park. UPDATED 9:30 a.m.: All tennis matches will be played in Anaconda.
