Women’s College Basketball
Montana Tech at Dickinson State, 2 p.m.
The Oredigger women (5-4, 12-9) hit the road looking for a big win in their quest for a home playoff game. Tech is trying to bounce back from last Saturday’s home loss to Carroll College. Dickinson State is 1-6 and 6-15 after beating Montana Western 71-63 at home last week. Janae Moore averages 13.4 points per game to lead the Blue Hawks. Mandy Machinal, who averages a team-best 15.3 points per game is looking for a bounce-back game for the Orediggers, as is Laini Kalumbi, who averages 11.3 Kelsey DeWit averages 13.6, while Dannii Devenny scores just under 10 points per game.
Men’s College Basketball
Montana Tech at Dickinson State, 4 p.m.
The Orediggers (4-5, 13-10) look for their third straight conference win Saturday as they take on the Blue Hawks (3-4, 10-13). The meeting is the first between the two teams since Dickinson joined the Frontier Conference. Tech is coming off home wins over Great Falls and Carroll College last week. Adam Greger averages a team-leading 19.4 points per game. Bryan Bock scores 12.1. The Blue Hawks are coming off last week’s 83-71 home win over Montana Western. Johnie Sanders scores 12.5 points per game to lead Dickinson.
Prep Boys’ Basketball
Butte High at Billings Senior, 4:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs (2-11, 1-6) look to halt a seven-game slide as they hit the road to take on the Broncs in the Eastern AA game. Brian Smith scored 12 points to pace the Bulldogs in Thursday’s loss at Bozeman. Dallas Cook scored 10. Senior is 4-10 and 0-7 after Tuesday’s lopsided loss to Billings West.
Livingston at Butte Central, 4 p.m.
The Maroons (9-5) return to the Maroon Activities Center as they try to bounce back from Thursday’s loss at Dillon. Nate Bolstad scored 11 points to lead the Maroons in the loss. Brady Tippett scored 10. The Maroons beat the Rangers 61-44 Jan. 5 in Livingston. Marcus Payne averages 17.7 points and 11.1 rebounds to lead Livingston (3-9), which upset Dillon on Tuesday.
Prep Girls’ Basketball
Billings Senior at Butte High, 4:30 p.m.
Butte High (6-1, 11-2) is looking for its eighth straight victory as the Bulldogs welcome the Broncs (0-6, 4-9). Natalee Faupel scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs in Thursday’s home win over Bozeman. Sammy McGree scored 16, while Hattie Thatcher poured in 15.
