Samuelson, Battlin’ Bears take down Bulldogs

DILLON — With Jared Samuelson’s 29 points leading the way, Rocky Mountain College’s men’s basketball team knocked off Montana Western 91-68 Thursday night at the Straugh Gymnasium. (Stats)

The former Montana Grizzly hit 10 of 15 shots — including 4 of 5 from 3-point land — to lead the Bears in the bounce-back win. Rocky fell at Montana Tech on Saturday

Lukas Vining added 18 points, while Brandon The Boy scored 10.

Cedric Boone came off the bench to lead the Bulldogs with 16 points. Kooper Kidgell added 14 points and seven boards for Western, and Tanner Haverfield scored 12 points.

The Bulldogs (1-4, 7-9) will play host to Carroll College on Saturday. Rocky (3-2, 12-5) will play at Lewis-Clark State College.
