Sabers down Cobras in OT

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Seth Stock scored 3 minutes, 35 seconds into overtime Saturday night, and the Badlands Sabers edged the Butte Cobras 3-2 in an NA3HL Frontier Division game at the Roosevelt Park Ice Arena. (Stats)

The win salvaged the weekend split for the Sabres.

Maxim Currie and Zach Vockler assisted on the game-winning goal.

The game went to extra time because J.D. Lion scored midway through the third period to tie the score at 2. Robby Arver and Tammer Billman assisted the goal.

Fabian Vik scored off assists from Cade Wessman and Caleb Manson to tie the score at 1 in the second.

Rhodes Buffalo and Vockler also scored for the Sabres, who improved to 4-4 with the win. The Cobras are 3-4-2.

The Cobras are back in action next Saturday when they welcome Bozeman to the Butte Community Ice Center.
