WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech’s Ryan Lowry was named the Frontier Conference/Erck Hotels Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Orediggers were in Billings at Rocky Mountain College last Saturday. Tech defeated Rocky 20-17 with Lowry scoring the final six points of the contest.
Lowry, a 6-foot kicker from Pasco, Washington, was a crucial part of the Oredigger victory. Lowry was a perfect 2 for 2 on PATs and connected on two field goals in the fourth quarter. Lowry kicked a 30-yard field goal early in the final frame to tie the game and made his second with four minutes to play putting the Orediggers ahead of the Bears.
Montana Tech’s final home game of the season is this Saturday. The Orediggers host Montana Western at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.
