Butte High girls went down while on the attack Saturday at the Jeremy Bullock Soccer Complex.
Great Falls took a 1-0 lead in the 70th minute of the 80-minute match.
Butte High went to a 3-4-3 attack to try to even the score. That ended up costing the Bulldogs a second goal in the 80th minute as the Rustlers left town with a 2-0 win.
“Natalee Faupel was a excellent in goal while Allison Bennett, Ali Dean, Bailey Reighard and Mattie Scott were tremendous on defense the entire match,” Butte High coach Sean Cleverly said. “Disappointing result for the girls because they played with so much desire.”
The Bulldogs are back in action Tuesday when they take on Billings Senior at 4 p.m. at Bulldog Memorial Stadium.
