Butte’s Ron Lyons claims first City Trap title

Ron Lyons edged out four others in a shoot off to win the City title Wednesday at the Butte Trap Club’s City Shoot.

Lyons broke 96 out of 100 targets and then shot a perfect 25 out of 25 in the shoot off to take claim his first City crown. He topped Dana Miller (24×25), Jake Taverna (23 s.o.), Bill Daly (22 s.o.) and Scott White (23 s.o.) and the rest of the field of 24 shooters.

Lyons will represent the Butte Trap Club in the Champion of Champions event held at the Montana State Shoot in Helena in early July.

Daly won the Class AA title while Miller won the Class A trophy.  Chris Robbins took the A category with a 95 tally. John MacDonald won the Class D trophy with a 91×100 score and Kevin Zimpel won the Class C trophy with a 92×100 mark.  Scott White won the League champion trophy.
